01The Service

The Devotional App is a daily devotional application that provides scripture insights, journaling prompts, and guided prayer. Content is generated using artificial intelligence and curated sources, and is intended for personal spiritual reflection.

02Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

03Price

The Devotional App is currently free. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases, and nothing in the Service will charge you.

If we introduce paid features in the future, we will update these Terms and tell you in the app first. Prices will always be shown before any purchase, and any subscription will be billed and cancellable through your Apple ID settings.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service;
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to transmit unlawful content;
• Upload content that infringes on the rights of others;
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission.

05User content

Journal entries and other content you create belong to you. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell or use your journal entries to train AI models.

06Intellectual property

The Devotional App name, logo, design, and software are owned by Christopher Oliveira and protected by copyright and, where applicable, trademark law. Scripture content is used under applicable licenses or in the public domain.

Scripture quotations in English are from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. Portuguese quotations are from the Nova Bíblia Viva (Biblica Open NBV), licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. 07AI-generated content

The Devotional App uses AI to generate insights and prompts based on your scripture input. AI output may occasionally contain errors or interpretations that differ from traditional scholarship. Content is provided for reflection, not as authoritative theological instruction.

08Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for legitimate operational reasons, with reasonable notice where possible.

09Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that content will meet every user's spiritual needs. The Devotional App is not a substitute for pastoral care, counseling, or professional medical advice.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Christopher Oliveira will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
